Looking for Destruction
Canadian comedy group, Picnicface, created this gem for FunnyOrDie, and later posted it to YouTube. Between the two sites, the video has over 25 million views and counting. At the time, Powerthirst was an imaginary energy drink, and the video was designed specifically to parody advertising for the Muscle Milk types. Since that time, a third party has made some sort of an agreement with Picnicface to sell an actual honest-to-God energy drink mix, meaning powder you mix in with your water and harness the power of 400 babies. Picnicface has also released two sequels to the original video, the first through CollegeHumor (currently at 13 million views), the second through their own YouTube channel (currently at 2 million views). The video has been parodied countless times, many of which received pretty decent numbers themselves. T-Shirts supporting Powerthirst are also available all over the web, though I'm not sure if any of them have anything to do with Picnicface. Regardless, I think it's safe to say those guys have made some pretty serious cash from their imaginary product.
