Looking for Destruction
This is the epitome of "I feel bad for laughing." There's very little information about this viral icon available on the internet. All we really know is what we can see in the 19 seconds contained within: a big break dance circle in Times Square went awry when an unsuspecting child wandered behind the dancer, whose foot instantly sent the child flying. There is no record of whether or not the poor girl was all right after the fact, nor when the event actually took place, but the video was uploaded to the YouTube account patolr in May 2007. The original uploader gave a brief description in Spanish, which, based on my limited knowledge of the language, said something to the effect of "I had to upload this some day" ("algun dia me tenia que tocar a mi filmar algo asi.") Aside from that, patolr has never mentioned anything about it anywhere that I can find; no comments in response to viewer questions or anything, and only a handful of completely unrelated videos on his channel. The original, Patada subte Times Square, has received over 4.5 million views to date, and has been featured on a slew of websites and TV shows about crazy stuff the internet has to show you. I still can't stop wondering, though... what happened to that little girl?
