Looking for Destruction
Greetings Sithizens,
I am Inquisitor Korrem and I have been tasked with providing you with more information on how to improve your experience in ‘Star Wars: The Old Republic’, especially your experience as members of the glorious Sith Empire. Over the next few weeks I will be highlighting some important cultural points of playing each of the races as it pertains to each class of the Sith Empire. This week, we sell our services to the highest bidder with the Bounty Hunter.
Bounty hunters are considered scum by most of the galaxy. They are notorious loners and utterly ruthless. The Empire values them for their no nonsense attitude and general dependability. Most bounty hunters, while noted for their self preservation, will generally keep to their contracts, and many will keep to the original contract. Even if a better price is offered.
The most populous species in the galaxy, humans are well known as innovative and ruthless bounty hunters. Combined with their inherent ruthlessness, many humans are inducted into the Madalore tradition. Mandalore, while a planet, is commonly identified for the fierce warrior culture, a romanticized vision of their honorable culture, and certain fierceness in battle. Since the collapse of their expansive empire after the Mandalorian Wars, those who identify as Mando’ade, are commonly guns for hire who join the culture from the outside through traditional rituals and rites of passage.
Chasing quarries is a dangerous business. Many who pursue the line of work generally do not pursue it wholly intact. Cybernetic implants are used to replace lost limbs and organs or to enhance natural talents and abilities. Because of the wide variety of use in cybernetics, many bounty hunters voluntarily have them implanted. These cyborg bounty hunters are, faster, stronger, and more accurate than non-enhanced bounty hunters, usually opting for implants that allow them to track their prey more effectively and efficiently.
Separated from the rest of the galaxy, the Chiss Ascendency remains a staunch ally since the War. The Chiss Ascendency maintains a strong traditional feudal system, and their agents carry that strong sense of hierarchy into our glorious Empire, remember; only the strong survive. Chiss bounty hunters are the embodiment of all the Empire looks for in the guns it hires. Strong, ruthless, loyal, and collected.
Of all the species in the galaxy, there are two that are born ruthless, the Rattataki and the Zabrak. Both these species have known nothing but hardship and brutality on their home worlds and colonies, and they exercise what they know without care or prejudice. Bounty hunters of these species are not known for exercising mercy or restraint in their pursuit. When a target is marked “Dead or Alive”, a Rattataki or Zabrak hunter generally bring them back dead, or maimed.
